WHAT YOU WILL LOVE ABOUT THE JOB

Be a Part of our 2019 Season Team!  You will be a SANFL Ambassador for promoting and delivering great Australian Football participation experiences to children in a variety of settings and locations. You will love the following:

  • Deliver professional and fun Sporting Schools Programs across a variety of schools and diverse groups
  • Exciting football experiences at SANFL Game Day activations, special events (i.e Grand Final) in Adelaide and regional areas
  • Collation of participation and program evaluation data
  • Assistance to SANFL Team members with delivery of promotional activities 
  • Visit assigned NAB AFL Auskick Centres & assist the coordination of sessions across SANFL Club Metro Zones
  • Work with a number of stakeholders such as Teachers, AFL School Ambassadors, SANFL Team Members and Auskick Coordinators.

  • Friday 15 February 2019 - Professional Development Forum

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in sport & recreation or similar is desirable 
  • DHS Working with Children clearance (must hold a current certificate prior to commencing in the role)
  • Driver's Licence

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Access to a reliable motor vehicle 
  • Ability to transport and store equipment securely as required
  • Ability to successfully complete SANFL Training Plan (including Child Safe Environments and Community Coaching Online Courses)
  • Ability to work across a variety of hours and times of day, including weekends
  • Strong sense of accountability and self-motivation
  • A sound understanding of Australian Rules Football

YOUR SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Problem solving skills
  • Experience working with children in a school and/or sporting environment 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Coaching skills 
  • Ability to work across diverse groups
