WHAT YOU WILL LOVE ABOUT THE JOB
This role will support SANFL’s focus on the growth, development, retention of women coaches in South Australia. The Coach Development Coordinator will deliver club-based and regional ‘new to coaching’ packages to aspiring women coaches to support skill development and confidence to begin their coaching journey.
The role will engage a variety of strategies to support growth in women coach registrations including, coordinate coach education, networking and resource sharing opportunities to develop the current women in coaching roles.
Pivotal to the role is building supportive relationships with clubs and volunteers to ensure success in the recruitment, development and retention of women coaches.

- Professional development & collaboration
- Build meaning & effective relationships with clubs and the coaching community
- Facilitate and deliver engaging and effective coach education packages

Time Commitment:
Engagement in the position to commence from March 2025 ending October 2025. The position is approximately 8-12 hours per week with flexibility. Ideal candidate is based in metro Adelaide.

You will have a highly developed empathy for community sport and passionate about driving outcomes for women in coaching. We will love that you possess exceptional interpersonal skills and outstanding communication both written and workshop delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Level 2 Coaching Accreditation
- Drivers Licence
- DHS Working with Children Check
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Available for regular evenings. Elements of the role will be delivered out of normal business hours.
- Experience coaching and/or teaching
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders
- Ability to be effective and achieve outcomes in an autonomous work environment
- Highly developed empathy towards community coaches
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- Experience developing and supporting coaches
- Knowledge of Adult Learning Principles and or experience developing people
YOUR SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Advanced active listening and facilitation skills
- Facilitating effective feedback and reflective practice
- Interpersonal skills
- Presentation (engaging workshop delivery)
