  • Servicing community club coaches (junior & youth) 
  • Requires community football training nights availability (approx 5hrs per week in Feb to July)

WHAT YOU WILL LOVE ABOUT THE JOB

Community Clubs and Coaches

Support the implementation and conduct of Community Club Coach Coordinators within your allocated zone, to provide club-based coach support and development systems at each club.
Deliver club-based coach education and development packages to junior and youth coaches.

This role aims to positively impact coaching capability and retention, player experiences and retention, coach behaviour, game day environments and umpire retention.

Football in South Australia is exciting and your passion and enthusiasm to develop our game will be underpinned by successfully delivering the following:

  • Community Club Coach Coordinator support & development
  • Coach education & development
  • Participate in the coach professional development opportunities and strategy development
  • General coaching administration including monitoring and measuring success of initiatives

 

Zones Available:

  • Barossa Light Gawler Football Association Zone
  • Central District Metro Zone
  • Hills Football League Zone
  • Great Southern Football League Zone

Time Commitment:

Engagement in the position to commence from November 2024 with training and planning.  Peak contact periods for 2025 season is February to July at approx. 5hrs per week.

We will love that you possess exceptional interpersonal skills championed in your coaching skill set, that creates and maintains outstanding working relationships across SANFL clubs the coaching community. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Level 2 Coaching Accreditation
  • Drivers Licence
  • DHS Working with Children Check

 

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Available for regular evenings. All elements of the role will be delivered out of normal business hours
  • Experience coaching and/or teaching across a range of age groups
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to be effective and achieve outcomes in an autonomous work environment
  • Highly developed empathy towards junior and youth community coaches

 

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Experience developing and supporting coaches
  • Knowledge of Adult Learning Principles / experience developing adults

 

YOUR SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Advanced active listening and facilitation skills
  • Facilitating effective feedback and reflective practice
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Conflict resolution
